· Responsible for computing, classifying, and recording numerical data to keep financial records accurate and complete.
· Performs any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.
· Must also assist with immigration processing, business licensing, and permits in compliance with CNMI laws and regulations.
· Flexibility in work schedule is required.
· Operate computer programs with QuickBooks accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
· Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
· Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. Receive, record, and bank cash, checks, and vouchers. Code documents according to company procedures.
· Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
· Perform general office duties, such as filing, answering the telephone, and handling routine correspondence.
· Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to accounts.
· Prepare and process payroll information.
· Prepare and file government taxes like revenue tax, withholding tax, and federal tax. Prepare and process disbursement checks.
· Prepare bank deposits, verifying and balancing receipts.
· Prepare purchase orders and expense reports.
· Prepare trial balances of books. Maintain inventory records.
· Reconcile records of bank transactions.
· Maintain financial or account records
· Do errands and clerical work that must be assigned from time to time.
· Preferably fluent in both English and Chinese (both written and spoken) to effectively communicate with suppliers in China.
· Handle ordering of supplies needed for the business, including coordinating with international suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
